A note about Digital Artwork

Production delays can occur when digital artwork is provided in the wrong format.  Much time can be lost with efforts to convert files that are submitted without following the informational guidelines below.  Please contact us if you have any questions about the suitability of your digital files or any of our format requirements.

Artwork is only as good as you provide.  Simply because the art file is saved as and EPS or TIFF format doesn’t not mean it will be clean and useable.  Art that has been scanned or reproduced numerous times will not improve and will not look its best without additional clean-up efforts.  We reserve the right to refuse any artwork that will not meet our standards of product quality when reproduced with our equipment and processes.

 Vector Art Preferred

Vector art is comprised of nodes and anchor points that control the lines/curves that make up the objects shape.  These files are optimal because they maintain smooth edges/consistency while being adjusted for award layouts.

Bitmap files are acceptable but should be no lower than 300 dpi (600 dpi is preferred).  The term “dpi” refers to how many “dots per inch” that make up the image file.  Internet artwork is created for monitor viewing (72 dpi) and is not generally considered acceptable artwork.

Preferred Programs

Adobe Illustrator - Vector based artwork (save as .ai or .eps and convert all text to outlines)

Adobe Reader - PDF files

SVG files

Image Resolution

For non-vector images, image resolution should be a minimum of 300 dpi at 100% imprint size for best reproduction.
